Black Friday Sale 2019

While many people expect to find the best deals on Black Friday, that couldn't be the furthest from the truth. You have to keep in mind that most retailers make their sales/profits for the entire year between Black Friday and Christmas Eve. While it is possible to get some good deals, unless you are savvy and prepared you won't be able to maximize on the deals available.

First and foremost, it's not a good deal if you don't need it! That being said, do your research ahead of time and make sure you are well aware of pre-Black Friday prices so you can really estimate the value of the deal. Second, keep in mind that some retailers do not accept coupons on Black Friday deals and sometimes, buying something with a coupon might actually save you more money. Lastly, Black Friday is designed to create a sense of urgency to make you spend the maximum amount. In the company of others that are rushing to spend, you may find yourself purchasing unnecessary items or making unwise decisions.

In the recent years, I've found myself getting much better deals at times when people are less likely to be indulging in mass purchasing. What is your strategy when it comes to Black Friday?
